Priority event surface:

- Moab Skinny Tire Festival
- Moab Music Festival
- Moab trail, cycling, running, climbing, and stewardship events

Events should connect to trip plans, lodging pressure, traffic/crowd notes, operator availability, and restaurant planning.

Planner integration:

- `/events` is the human-facing event-pressure dashboard for known windows and source checks.
- `/api/plans` detects event-pressure overlap from the trip date field and attaches structured `eventPressures` to generated plans.
- Busy or peak overlaps add caution-level planning rationale and readiness checks to the planner and mobile trip packet.
- Event-pressure source links are included with the plan source stack.

Current 2026 planning notes:

- Easter Jeep Safari is the highest current event-pressure signal and should trigger lodging, trailer parking, route, rental, restaurant, and fallback checks.
- Late March through April stacks multiple race, cycling, 4x4, UTV, film, and car events.
- Arches does not require advanced timed-entry reservations in 2026, but event weekends, holidays, fee-free days, entrance lines, parking, heat, and pass requirements still matter.
- Use event-owner and official sources before booking or driving; dates and availability can change.
