Before you continue

Skip it unless the vehicle is built for technical rock crawling and both driver and spotter know the current line.

What catches people

A tire climbing the V-notch wall can rapidly shift the vehicle off-camber; the entry descent also commits the vehicle before the climb.

Conditions change it

Erosion changes the rut depth and ledges. Traffic can trap vehicles inside the one-way-feeling bowl.

Fit

Lockers, clearance, recovery points, low gearing, and an experienced spotter; not a stock-vehicle sightseeing line.

At the obstacle

  1. Park clear and walk the entire descent and climb.
  2. Confirm the exit is open before descending.
  3. Use one experienced spotter and recover or reverse before the vehicle becomes unstable.
